EXHIBIT A. The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill‐Carrboro <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />for Orange County <br /> <br />1. Purpose of the Project <br />The purpose of the project described in this agreement is for The Chamber to provide updated economic and <br />community data including demographic, educaƟon, environmental, health, transportaƟon, migraƟon, housing, <br />retail sales, employment, visitor, commuƟng paƩerns, and other related data and will partner with UNC’s <br />Carolina Demography to support the verificaƟon, interpretaƟon, and communicaƟons of significant data <br />elements. In addiƟon to this project, The Chamber will conƟnue the development of an integrated, well‐ <br />documented database of indicators that can be readily updated and accessed by collaboraƟng data partners <br />now and in future years. <br /> <br />2. DuraƟon of the Project <br />The duraƟon of the agreement is July 1, 2023 to Jun 30, 2024. <br /> <br />3. DescripƟon of the Project <br />The Chamber will provide updates to the State of the Community Database to be used as source material for <br />the 2023 State of the Community Report and for other purposes by The Chamber and data partners. The <br />Chamber will update the database semiannually and will interpret and communicate significant data elements <br />to the client. <br /> <br />4. Roles and ResponsibiliƟes <br />The Chamber will deliver the items described below and perform work in accordance with the milestone <br />schedule also described below. <br /> <br />The Client acknowledges that The Chamber’s work under this agreement will be performed for and shared with <br />the five project clients. The project clients are Orange County, Town of Carrboro, Town of Chapel Hill, Town of <br />Hillsborough, and the Partnership for a Greater Chapel Hill‐Carrboro. <br /> <br />The Client acknowledges that The Chamber may share data that is on the public record with organizaƟons and <br />individuals beyond the project clients. <br /> <br />The Client will approve the agreement and the contract of which it is party by the date indicated below and will <br />designate an individual to work with The Chamber who will: <br /> Provide data to which it has access in order to update the exisƟng database. <br /> Review data sources, indicators, and reporƟng and help idenƟfy new indicators and indicators to be <br />prioriƟzed for updaƟng in the future. <br /> Review proposed data tables and other deliverables, and review and approve final deliverables in <br />accordance with the milestone dates listed in the schedule below. <br /> Request changes to deliverables uƟlizing the input process established by The Chamber. <br /> Permit The Chamber to use materials compiled for this project in blogs, newsleƩers, and other <br />informaƟonal purposes and to share data that is on the public record. <br /> <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: A2C50516-1C18-4081-AE5E-39BF7148AA6E
