Most of my career has been focused upon developing educational programming and advocacy work for arts education. My most recent non-profit arts postion as Director of Education for the Durham Arts Council ended in June of 2002. I have directed very small organizations and worked on the management team of very large organizations. I have strong skills in planning and policy development, advocacy and program development. My career has also included work as a contract consultant in grant and program development, and as a program evaluator for the NC Arts Council. i now work for the City of Durham as a Grants writer and administrator for Durham Parks and Recreation. Volunteer Experience: I have served as a Board Member and as Chair of the Board for the NC Alliance for Arts Edtcation. I have served on several advisory committees, most notably on the marketing task force for the John F. Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Educaiton Network KCAAEN (1995). I served on the nominations committee for the KCAAEN from 1993-1996, as chair of the committee in 1995. I have represented arts education on several statewide panels (1994-1998). I currently volunteer with KidSpace Daycare and Preschool of Genesis House in Durham NC and St. Joseph's Foundation/Hayti Heritage Center of Durham,
