Revised 01/24 <br />3 <br /> <br />a. Basic Services. The Services to be rendered pursuant to this Agreement are as follows <br />(fully describe services to be provided): The vendor, also operating under the name <br />Hillsborough Landscaping Company, will perform the following: 1) <br />Regular Maintenance: For all properties, services would include mowing, edging (use of <br />stick edger or trimmer), blowing, debris and trash collection, and routine bed <br />maintenance. Regular maintenance would also include leaf blowing and or removal <br />where necessary during fall. Per County policy vendor agrees to prohibit the use of the <br />herbicide Roundup on County property. The properties to be included in this section <br />include: the downtown "County Campus" (115 East King Street and County properties <br />from King Street south to the Eno River); the Richard E. Whitted Center and grounds <br />(300/302 West Tryon Street, Hillsborough); the Emergency Services building and <br />grounds (510 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough); 306 Revere Road building and <br />grounds; and PFAP (Piedmont Food and Agriculture Processing) Center at 500 Valley <br />Forge Road, Hillsborough. <br />b. 2) A proposed Grounds Improvement Strategy (based on observed priority and historic <br />aesthetics) has been created and may be pursued as follows: the following have been <br />identified as potential projects to address on as needed / case by case basis. These will be <br />pursued based on written consent by both parties and are not guaranteed to be <br />performed: Old Courthouse grounds (pruning, bed maintenance and mulching of <br />immediate shrubbery. New Courthouse and Orange County Sheriff's Office (pruning, <br />including verticle pruning of holly tree to west side of building, hedges, mulching, <br />pruning all existing shrubbery and installation of mulch and pre-emergent granular for <br />weed management. District Attorney's Office (shrubbery, mulching, pruning). <br />c. Provider will invoice the County Eight Thousand Dollars per month for seven months. <br />Amount each month should not exceed $8,000, the cost of Regular Maintenance. If any <br />Proposed Grounds Improvements are requested by the County the Provider will invoice <br />according to cost included in the previous quote. <br /> <br />4. Duration of Services <br /> <br />a. Term. The term of this Agreement shall be from May 22,2024 to December 22,2024. <br /> <br />b. Scheduling of Services. <br />i) The Provider shall schedule and perform its activities in a timely manner. <br /> <br />ii) Should the County determine that the Provider is behind schedule, it may require <br />the Provider to expedite and accelerate its efforts, including providing additional <br />resources and working overtime, as necessary, to perform its services in <br />accordance with the approved project schedule at no additional cost to the <br />County. <br /> <br />iii) The Commencement Date for the Provider's Basic Services shall be May 22,2024. <br /> <br />5. Compensation <br /> <br />a. Compensation for Basic Services. Compensation for Basic Services shall include all <br />compensation due the Provider from the County for all services satisfactorily (as <br />determined by the County) performed pursuant to this Agreement.
