Please describe any potential
negative side effects of the
project and describe the steps
you are taking/will take to
eliminate or minimize these
impacts to any low-income or
marginalized
communities/households:
N/A
17. Are the impacted residents
already aware of the potential
positive and negative impacts
of your project and the steps
you are taking? If not, please
describe your plan to engage
with them and how you will act
based on their input:
Club Nova members and staff are working together as colleagues
on all facets of our project. Club Nova members are engaged in our
garden/horticulture working group and our Culinary Unit planning,
preparing, and serving affordable, nutritious meals. We continue
our meetings and discussion around what we are doing to mitigate
the negative impacts of climate change.
18. During and after the project,
what will your continued
engagement with the
community be?
We are building on existing relationships and partnerships and will
be developing new partnerships as we move forward with our
project. We see our project as an ongoing effort.
19. Please describe any other
aspect of your project that is
relevant to Social Justice and
Racial Equity:
Our project clearly offers greater protections to individuals who are most at risk to the impacts of climate change.
Our project impacts individuals living with serious mental illness who already have a 25-year shorter life expectancy. Many of our members live with co-occuring health condition such as diabetes and cardiac and
pulmonary conditions. Increased days of poor air quality increase the health risks for our members. Additionally,
the majority of our members are low income. Access to affordable, healthy foods makes a difference.

20. How many tons of greenhouse
gas emissions will your project
reduce/avoid each year? Please
list any data sources used and
show the steps of any
calculations. Feel free to submit
in a separate document if
clearly labelled:
Please refer to attachment title "Item 20 GHG"
21. For how many years will this
emissions reduction take place
as a result of your project?
Please consider the expected
lifetime of the
technology/program/impact
etc.
The emission reduction from all facets of the proposed project, will be in effect for as many years as Club Nova
continues to operate and serve our members. Therefore, the reduction in emissions will be ongoing as long as
Club Nova remains a clubhouse. As mentioned in #20, Club Nova is currently at a average daily attendance of
20 members per day, with projections of increasing this number to up to 100 individuals. Therefore, not only
will the emissions reduction be ongoing, but it will also increase overtime per capita. The items identified
within our budget have been carefully selected with the values of being locally-sourced and
environmentally-sustainable while being of materials that are durable and long-lasting. Therefore, we expect
that the technology, equipment and materials in our project proposal will last for the duration of this clubhouse
for the foreseeable future. Lastly, in ways that we may not know how to quantify, we believe that the
emissions reduction, as our members-served increases, may be as cumulative as it is constant.
DocuSign Envelope ID: A9B18E2F-7835-4086-B808-E21D1F44AE18
