Prior to significant disturbance of the Site, perimeter erosion control shall be <br /> established to reduce uncontrolled drainage from leaving the limits of construction or <br /> from reaching US waters. Sediment barriers and basins shall be constructed as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> 3.2 Installation <br /> Contractor shall be responsible for the following activities: <br /> A. All measures necessary to provide a continuous siltation barrier shall be down slope <br /> from construction activities as indicated on the Drawings or as necessary to reduce <br /> sediment runoff. Barriers shall be placed around stockpiled material subject to <br /> erosion. <br /> B. All measures shall be installed as per the manufacturer's directions and the NCDEQ <br /> Erosion and Sediment Control Manual. <br /> PART 4 - INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE <br /> 4.1 General <br /> A. Erosion and sediment control measures shall be inspected and maintained in <br /> accordance with the approved erosion control plan. <br /> 4.2 Repairs and Maintenance <br /> A. Upon finding that any measure requires repair or maintenance, Contractor shall repair <br /> or maintain the measure at no additional cost to Owner in accordance with the <br /> approved erosion control plan and the NCDEQ Erosion and Sediment Control Manual. <br /> 4.3 Dust Control <br /> A.
