Attending various colleges and getting course
certifications gave me understanding in society s demands for better services, programs and
conditions for my aging community. My experience and knowledge about what services,
programs, and funding can impact older adults reminds me that I have to be in a position to
unpack information and make known what our communities offer as we all age.
Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board
Changes and factual information that has not reached aging adults as our communities
continually arise with growth making communicating sometimes an issue. I hope to help make
our systems in place have better solutions for offering what it takes to allow all of the changes
that come about available to our community.
How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints?
Diversity issues in our communities can be addressed when we have a communication structure
that brings our changes and differences to awareness. I'm a Black woman and can share my
views as to what imbalances are known in many communities. Not being a spoke-person , but
relatively known differences.
Do you have any personal or business interest(s)that could create a conflict of interest
(either real or perceived) if you are appointed to this board?
None
Affordable Housing Advisory Board
Please explain how your background, education and experience is relevant to this board
My background is Health and Human Services.
