As such I would like to do my part to preserve and enhance the distinctive qualities <br />of Chhpel Hill. I believe strongly in the need to strike the appropriate balance between <br />development and preservation. While I strong disaggree with those who view <br />development as inherently detrimental, I wool d also oppose developers whose plans did <br />not enhance the appeal of our community. I feel that I am uniquely qualified in this <br />realm, For the last five years I have been on the board of directors for one on the largest <br />real estate developments that have affected the town in which I grew up, I am very <br />proud of the work we have done to preserve the small town nature of the area in which <br />we have operated while at the same time adding higher value, large home sites with <br />tasteful homes. Overall, our efforts have improved real estate values, aesthetics and the <br />tax base of the town.
