2 <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact to the County associated with this item. <br /> NCDOT will incur additional maintenance responsibilities and costs. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is associated with <br /> this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, gang <br /> activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> The addition of residential streets to the State Maintained Secondary Road System results in <br /> positive outcomes related to the aforementioned goal. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1) Authorize the Manager and Planning Director to sign the plat; and <br /> 2) When received, authorize the Planning Director and Manager's Office to forward the <br /> applicant's petition to NCDOT recommending the addition of Wolf Creek Trail into the State <br /> Maintained System. <br />
