<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, the following resolution
<br />was unanimously adopted:
<br />RESOLUTIDN June 1, 1961:
<br />The Board of Commissioners of Orange county in official meeting hereby
<br />authorize the expenditure of $750.00 toward the operating expenses of Health
<br />Planning Council for Central North Carolina, said fund to be charged to
<br />Emergency Fund account.
<br />This authorization is in accordance with the official request from
<br />Community Health Organisational Committee dated February 3, 1964.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Smith the following list of official nominations for membership

<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, and unanimously
<br />adopted, Howard Compton of the Carr Community was appointed to a three (3) year term on the County
<br />Felfare Board. This term effective as of July 1, 196h.
<br />Sheriff C. D. Knight and Deputy Sheriff, Avery Maddry, appeared before the Board.
<br />ommissioner Bennett informed Sheriff Knight of the complaint he had received concerning loud
<br />)artier which were being held on property owned by Frank Carlisle, but which was being rented to
<br />tudents. Deputy Sheriff Maddry stated that all calls being received fromthis type of complaint
<br />ad been answered, and that no call had been received on the night to which Commissioner Bennett
<br />ad referred.
