What do you understand OWASA's role to be regarding issues of growth and <br /> development? <br /> Clean, copious and safe drinking water is essential for life. Ensuring conservation during the <br /> uncertain age of climate change is a complicated and essential role that OWASA must fill. They <br /> have talented and educated scientists and engineers to help navigate those demands and we <br /> need to ensure that continues. <br /> 4. What do do you hope to accomplish if appointed? <br /> With my background in local public health and community engagement I could bring a <br /> perspective to the discussions that could potentially make the work of OWASA more accessible <br /> to the average citizen, not just the vocal minority. <br /> 5. Please indicate your availability to attend regularly scheduled meetings. <br /> I own my own business and do sometimes travel for work, but if I know the schedule in advance, <br /> I can generally block those dates. <br /> 6. How would your participation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> I live in rural Orange County, have a background in farming, public health and environmental <br /> justice. I've worked for the County and with all the municipalities in OC and have worked in small <br /> rural communities and big cities. My PhD is in research, AND I value the voice of the community <br /> as much as I value the science.
