Please describe, generally, your reasons for wanting to serve on the OWASA Board of <br /> Directors. <br /> I would like to serve on this board to contribute to the growth and conservation of resources in <br /> my community. of Directors. <br /> 2a. Please list/explain your experience, either professionally and/or from other <br /> boards/commissions that you have in the areas of budget, personnel, and management. <br /> I have not served on other boards and have not worked with budgets or management, except in <br /> my household while homeschooling for 17 years before I went back to work as a nurse. I am <br /> currently enrolled in an MBA program at UNCG <br /> 2b. In addition to the experience listed in the question above, please list the <br /> work/volunteer experience/qualifications that would add to your expertise for this board. <br /> Currently, I am an RN in an ambulatory care clinic and a member of my Parish Council. I have <br /> been a Girl Scout Leader volunteer, a boyscout parent volunteer, a youth group religious <br /> education leader. I have lived in the community and volunteered in this community for 25+ years. <br /> 3. What do you understand OWASA's role to be regarding issues of growth and <br /> development? <br /> OWASA helps to maintain the clean/safe water supply and waste treatment facilities and some <br /> recreation facilities in Orange County. OWASA provides guidance to developers related to <br /> growth and resource availablity for the community. Basically, it manages water, land and some <br /> recreation facilities facilities and protects them for future use. <br /> 4. What do do you hope to accomplish if appointed? <br /> I want to contribute to creating and sustaining a healthy environment for now and later. <br /> 5. Please indicate your availability to attend regularly scheduled meetings. <br /> I can make evening meetings. Daytime meetings may be more difficult, but, I will try to request <br /> time from my employer. <br /> 6. How would your participation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> I have always been interested in and concerned about environmental sustainability. I have <br /> traveled within the USA and have seen the beauty of our country.
