176
Exhibit J
JA
NNL NOSPITA AT ` i, g
Q =_ r.
I SP
aaoxn®rwcr I a - NOi FOR
as a..,rP . 4`•
" H
i
i 1 r
. .i77
5L
Finally, we propose that the open spaces outlined here in our proposal be
dedicated as a permanent "Conservation Easement" so the open space allocated
as part of this Special Use Permit Modification remains open and undisturbed in
perpetuity. Our proposal to establish a permanent 100-foot open space
"Conservation Easement" along East Scarlett Mountain Road will forever
prohibit access to Scarlette Mountain Road from this site, putting to rest any
such concerns by those who currently use East Scarlett Mountain Road.
We believe this proposed modification of an old Special Use Permit takes the
best interest of the entire community into account by opening up underutilized
land and allowing it to provide an ideal location for future homes and
neighborhood businesses in the very area both Orange County and Hillsborough
have directed development to go. More than that, the modification creates far
superior open spaces and buffers for the homes along East Scarlett Mountain
Road and for the Woodsedge Mobile Home Park. Open spaces that are more
environmentally sensitive and provide a more consistent buffer around the entire
property through a permanent Conservation Easement. We ask for your approval
of the proposed modification of the 1985 and 1991 Special Use Permits.
