60 <br /> 6.4 US 70 at US 70 Alt. <br /> Analyses indicate that the unsignalized intersection of US 70 at US 70 Alt. operates with <br /> moderate to long delays on the minor street approaches in all peak hours for the existing <br /> and projected (2025) background and build-out traffic conditions. It should be noted that <br /> long delays are not uncommon at unsignalized minor street approaches at mainlines <br /> with heavy through movement volumes (US 70) and no queueing issues were noticed in <br /> SimTraffic simulations. Therefore, no improvements were recommended at this <br /> intersection. <br /> This location has a notable crash history with injuries. Sidestreet volumes are low and <br /> will not warrant signalization in the future.
