371 <br /> Proposed Access and Transportation Network Improvements <br /> The Project is proposing access from Lawrence Road and US 70 Business. The following improvements <br /> are recommended and submitted by the applicant, as detailed in the Transportation Impact Analysis (TIA): <br /> o US 70 Alt. at Lawrence Road <br /> • Consider signalization <br /> o Lawrence Road at Site Driveway 1: <br /> • Construct the full movement Site Driveway 1 with one ingress and two egress lanes <br /> • Construct an exclusive southbound left-turn lane with a minimum of 150 feet of storage plus <br /> taper <br /> o US 70 Alt. at Site Driveway 2: <br /> • Construct the full movement Site Driveway 2 with one ingress and two egress lanes <br /> In advance of the Board of Adjustment meeting, the Traffic Impact Analysis was reviewed by NC <br /> Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and Orange County Transportation Services Department. TIA <br /> Review Comments from both entities are available in Project Correspondence and Development Advisory <br /> Committee Comments (Attachment 5). In addition to the above proposed improvements. NCDOT will <br /> require the provision of a minimum internal protected stem length of 100' at both site access drives. <br /> Driveway permits and encroachment agreements will be required prior to performing work on the NCDOT <br /> right-of-way. <br />
