(All other staff members will be identified <br /> 18 appropriately below) <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Chair Bedford called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All commissioners were present, <br /> 21 except for Commissioner McKee. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 1. Boards and Commissions —Annual Work Plan Summaries <br /> 24 The Board provided feedback and direction on the first group of boards and commissions' annual <br /> 25 work plan summaries with their Chairs (or representatives) in attendance. The first group of <br /> 26 boards and commissions' annual work plan summaries were presented at the Board's February <br /> 27 15, 2024 work session. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 BACKGROUND: Typically, across the first two work sessions of the year, the Board receives a <br /> 30 report from each of the County's boards and commissions. The report details accomplishments <br /> 31 from the previous calendar year as well as plans for the year ahead. This practice allows boards <br /> 32 and commissions an opportunity to speak directly to the Board of County Commissioners about <br /> 33 their work, and the Board is able to provide feedback and direction. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Boards and Commissions represented at this meeting: <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Board Name Representative(s) Presenting <br /> 38 Affordable Housing Advisory Board Matthew Ferguson <br /> 39 Orange County Housing Authority Board Alice Mahood <br /> 40 Orange County Board of Adjustment Leon Meyers <br /> 41 Orange County Planning Board Adam Beeman <br /> 42 Orange Unified Transportation Board Michael Hughes <br /> 43 Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Patrick Burns <br /> 44 Economic Development Advisory Board Kristen Smith Young <br /> 45 Chapel Hill Orange County Visitors Bureau Advisory Board Karen DeHart <br /> 46 Arts Commission <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Matthew Ferguson from the Affordable Housing Advisory Board said in the next year they <br /> 49 would like to talk to complimentary advisory boards that can help them achieve their goals for <br /> 50 affordable housing, such as the Economic Development Advisory Board. He said they would like <br /> 51 to do a research project to review the historical affordable housing projects that have been done <br />
