Historic Preservation Commission —Appointment Discussion <br /> 16 The Board discussed an appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 BACKGROUND: The Historic Preservation Commission is charged with undertaking an <br /> 19 inventory of properties of historical, prehistorical, architectural, and/or cultural significance. It <br /> 20 recommends areas to be designated or removed as "historic districts" and reviews and acts upon <br /> 21 proposals for alterations, demolition, new construction, etc. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 The Board of County Commissioners appoints all seven (7) At-Large members. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 The following individual is recommended for Board consideration: <br /> 26 <br /> NAME POSITION TYPE OF EXPIRATION <br /> DESCRIPTION APPOINTMENT DATE <br /> TERM <br /> Cecilia Moore At-Large Second Full Term 03/31/2027 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 If the individual listed above is appointed, no vacancies remain. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Tara May introduced the item. <br /> 31 The Board agreed by consensus on the recommended applicant. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 10. Orange County Parks and Recreation Council —Appointments Discussion <br /> 34 The Board discussed appointments to the Orange County Parks and Recreation Council. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 BACKGROUND: The Orange County Parks and Recreation Council consults with and advises <br /> 37 the Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation, and the Board of County <br /> 38 Commissioners on matters affecting parks planning, development and operation; recreation <br /> 39 facilities, policies and programs; and public trails and open space. <br /> 40 <br />
