The partners would <br /> meet periodically to update the database and report the findings to elected <br /> officials on an annual basis. <br /> Best Management Practices and Development Standards <br /> The Board of County Commissioners and both Boards of Education want to be good <br /> fiscal stewards of taxpayer monies. In order to meet this objective, the Work Group <br /> recommends utilizing tools and best management practices that allow for improved <br /> contract negotiations thereby resulting in the best pricing and outcomes possible. <br /> With this objective in mind, the Collaboration Work Group recommends that the <br /> following best management practices serve as guidelines during facility planning. <br /> a) Innovative Development Tools <br /> In North Carolina, school districts have a variety of options for constructing <br /> schools: <br /> 13 <br />
