'6RAFT
1 Nathan Robinson: So, the training, is the training center where they learn whatever they need to learn to serve the
2 people who are camping?
3
4 Rebecca Sorenson: Yes
5
6 Beth Bronson: Does that make that capacity?
7
8 Nathan Robinson: Okay.
9
10 Rebecca Sorenson: Yes.
11
12 Beth Bronson: A lot of hospitality programs, like Cornell has one and they run a hotel, and all their hotel, like,
13 employees are students who will graduate, and in that process? It's like part of an internship program, but my
14 understanding, I just want to make sure I'm understanding this clearly, Nest 54 is the non-profits that is going to be
15 okay.
16
17 Rebecca Sorenson: The Nest 54 West is a, is a for-profit land-holding company of which Gary, Hope, Keith, and myself
18 are owners. We're all, and we're all parents.
19
20 Beth Bronson: Okay.
21
22 Rebecca Sorenson: We lease the land to a non-profit.
23
24 Beth Bronson: So, you're going to lease the land to the non-profit?
25
26 Rebecca Sorenson: Yeah.
27
28 Beth Bronson: To conduct these types of acts, to conduct this training program that will also be part of the camp.
29
30 Rebecca Sorenson: Yes.
31
32 Beth Bronson: Okay. And the camp will be for profit? Or is it not that far yet?
33
34 Rebecca Sorenson: No.
35
36 Ryan Moffitt: It's, let me.
37
38 Rebecca Sorenson: Okay.
39
40 Ryan Moffitt: This is, this will operate like a business that you go and if, as Rebecca said, you're in Saxapahaw for a
41 show, it's, you can get a cabin for the night just like you could at a Holiday Inn, you know, off the interstate, but it's going
42 to be a rural, it's going to be a much more, it's a much nicer experience to be on this property in these cabins than that.
43 But it will be a business. The business will be operated by the non-profit. It will fund, the business will fund the non-
44 profit. But it will operate as a lodging operation, and it will have a community building that will be used for the training of
45 the employees on the property, but the community building will also be available to the public to groups to convene
46 there. The Nest will host or the non-profit will host events for its employees, but also for the public, and it will also make
47 the space available for public groups to use as well. So it's a space that the public can pay a fee to rent and do their
48 own education, cultural type programming as well.
49
50 Beth Bronson: And this would be separate from the non-profit that it's being leased to? Like how.
19
