<br />Prioritization 7.0 Local Point Methodology for Central Pines RPO – Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br />Proposed Schedule for Implementation of Policy in Prioritization 7.0 <br /> CPRPO RTCC & RTAC adoption of project list to submit to NCDOT –August 10, 2023 <br /> Adoption of this policy – expected on April 11, 2024 (with public hearing at beginning of <br />RTAC meeting) <br /> NCDOT will release quantitative project scores and announce the projects that are <br />funded in the Statewide category expected by the end of May 2024 <br /> Next, each county, working jointly with its municipalities and SMPO if they choose to <br />rank separately, will approve a ranked list of its top ten projects and submit this list to <br />CPRPO – this should happen within 45 days after NCDOT releases the project scores if <br />possible <br /> Then CPRPO staff will calculate scores for local point assignment based on this adopted <br />methodology and post the scores and draft point assignments on the CPRPO website— <br />expected by the end of July 2024 <br /> CPRPO staff will host public workshop(s) to present local input point assignments and <br />gather input after the draft scores have been calculated, but before the CPRPO RTCC <br />and RTAC must vote on approval of the Regional Impact local input points—expected by <br />August 8, 2024 <br /> SMPO will submit their final Regional Impact category local input point assignments to <br />CPRPO staff by July 30, 2024 <br /> Then, the CPRPO RTCC and RTAC will adopt Regional Impact category local input <br />point assignments at one of their regular meetings—expected at the August 8, 2024 <br />meeting <br /> NCDOT will announce the projects receiving funding in the Regional Impact category— <br />expected near the end of August 2024 <br /> Next, CPRPO staff will adjust the draft point assignments if needed in accordance with <br />the cascading policy discussed above—expected by September 20, 2024 <br /> SMPO will submit their final Division Needs category local input point assignments to <br />CPRPO staff by October 3, 2024***** Changed <br /> Finally, the CPRPO RTCC and RTAC will adopt Division Needs category local input <br />point assignments at one of their regular meetings—expected at their October 10, 2024 <br />meeting***Changed <br />At the conclusion of this process, NCDOT will release a draft Statewide Transportation <br />Improvement Program (STIP) based on the outcome of the Prioritization 7.0 process. <br />Adoption <br /> <br />A motion was made by _______________ and seconded by ________________ for the <br />adoption of this policy, and upon being put to a vote it was duly adopted on ________________. <br /> <br /> <br />____________________________ ______________________________ <br />Chair, Central Pines RPO RTAC Secretary, Central Pines RPO RTAC
