Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release motor vehicle property tax values for eight (8) <br /> taxpayers with a total of eleven (11) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release property tax values for nine (9) taxpayers with a total <br /> of nine (9) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> d. Late Application for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> The Board approved one (1) untimely application for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> taxation for one (1) bill for the 2023 tax year. <br /> e. Acceptance of NC 911 Board Portable Radio Grant and Approval of Budget Amendment <br /> #6-A <br /> The Board accepted a grant from the North Carolina 911 Board for the purchase of eleven (11) <br /> portable radios for the Primary Public Safety Communications Center, and approval of Budget <br /> Amendment #6-A to provide for the total reimbursable cost of the grant. <br /> f. Procurement of Automated Fire-EMS Alerting System and Approval of Budget <br /> Amendment#6-13 <br /> The Board approved the purchase of an automated Fire/EMS alerting system for the County's <br /> primary and backup Public Safety Communications Centers, and approval of Budget Amendment <br /> #6-B to provide for the total cost of the system. <br /> g. Approval of the Fire Protection and Emergency Services Agreement with the Town of <br /> Carrboro <br /> The Board approved the Fire Protection and Emergency Services Agreement with the Town of <br /> Carrboro for the South Orange Fire Service District (the "District') as a County Service District <br /> pursuant to Chapter 153A, Article 16 of the North Carolina General Statutes to provide fire <br /> protection and other services as set forth in the Agreement. <br /> h. Approval of the Fire Protection and Emergency Services Agreement with the Town of <br /> Chapel Hill <br /> The Board approved the Fire Protection and Emergency Services Agreement with the Town of <br /> Chapel Hill for the Greater Chapel Hill Fire District (the "District') as a County Service District <br /> pursuant to Chapter 153A, Article 16 of the North Carolina General Statutes to provide fire <br /> protection and other services as set forth in the Agreement. <br /> i. Orange County Creek Week 2024 Proclamation <br /> The Board approved a proclamation declaring March 16-23, 2024, as "Orange County Creek <br /> Week". <br /> j. Boards and Commissions —Appointments <br /> The Board approved the Boards and Commissions appointments as reviewed and discussed <br /> during the February 15, 2024 Work Session. <br /> 9.
