Sasser Restoration was asked to come in to perform under emergency services the setting of HEPA equipped air scrubbing, containments and the remediation and moving of two (2) file cabinets. For the necessary remediation within the Crisis Center, Sasser Restoration is proposing the following: Recommended Work: (Not necessarily in the listed order) Pilates Studio: • Placement of HEPA equipped negative air machines/scrubbers within the crisis center under neutral pressure until remediation begins in which then will be transferred to negative pressure. • HVAC duct cleaning and sealing off of vent registers post duct cleaning for testing. • Removal of the affected roughly 16 sf of glued down carpet in the room with the leaking conduit. • HEPA vacuum all remaining carpeting and steam clean. Upon dry, the carpeting will be covered with carpet mask to seal out. • HEPA sandwich all contents within the crisis center area. • HEPA sandwich all ceilings, walls and floors of the Pilates Studio. HEPA sandwiched is the preferred method as outlined in the IICRC’s S520 (mold standard). The HEPA sandwich consists of a heavy HEPA vacuuming of the surfaces for the gross spore and contaminate removal, damp wiping and or wet washing all surfaces for the cleaning and treating, followed up by a light HEPA vacuuming for the final particulate removal to have the surfaces prepared for the testing performed by the Environmental Solutions Group from Greensboro. • Seal out all potential locations for air intrusions/outside environment breathing in with 6- mil poly (windows, doors, registers, holes in floors, etc). • Decontamination/entry/dress out chamber will be constructed. This is required by the IICRC’s S520 (mold standard) as a critical barrier as well as the required dress out area for the industrial hygienist conducting the post remediation verification or testing).
