To assist its creation,
Northwoods will use an import tool to perform a one-time import of ACTS demographic data from NC Data
Warehouse and automatically add it to the MEI.
Northwoods will consult with Orange CSS on the custom fields that Orange CSS requires and then configure
these custom fields in Traverse. Northwoods will then consult with Orange CSS on how to connect specific
content items to specific cases, people, and/or organizations within Traverse.
Please note that Orange CSS will be responsible for maintaining the MEI once Northwoods finishes the initial
import of data from ACTS. This will involve Orange CSS creating all new cases in Traverse as part of the agency’s
day-forward approach. To ensure that the MEI is appropriately maintained, Northwoods will provide Orange
CSS with MEI consultation as part of this project's scope.
ETL Configuration
Extract, transform, load (ETL) configuration involves importing data from disparate system(s)—ACTS via NC Data
Warehouse—into Traverse. Northwoods will configure the following ETL processes:
• A one-time import of ACTS demographic data from NC Data Warehouse to Traverse
Northwoods will determine ETL requirements—inclusive of a unique case file or case member identifier—during
the ancillary system evaluation sessions, documenting the results in the Solution Design Document project
deliverable.
Consistent with the approved Solution Design Document, Orange CSS will provide Northwoods with, at a
minimum, an ACTS CSV file (or similar method of transport) consisting of case, client, and service provider
demographic data.
Northwoods will then complete a preliminary configuration of the ETL process to ensure it appropriately imports
data. Following the preliminary configuration, Northwoods will conduct an ETL review with Orange CSS as
described in “ETL Review” on page 9.
The Northwoods project team will test the ETL process(es) as designed and documented in the Solution Design
Document within a dedicated test environment to confirm the system complies with specified requirements.
During ETL testing, Northwoods will validate that client, case, and provider information from ACTS is available
within Traverse and mapped to the appropriate fields within the solution.
Please note that the ACTS data transfer from NC Data Warehouse will be one way (from NC Data Warehouse
into Traverse). Exporting data from Traverse to NC Data Warehouse or ACTS is considered outside project scope
and would be subject to change request(s).
DocuSign Envelope ID: D7D212FB-FBC9-4D6C-91D3-137CA2E41E22
