b. Administration and Maintenance (half-day). The Administration and <br />Maintenance class is intended to give technical service personnel the skills to <br />perform system configuration, basic diagnostics and troubleshooting on the <br />station alerting system. The class will be hands-on using the system prior to go <br />live. <br />c. Installation Training (8 hours). The G2 certification will familiarize the installer <br />with unique features if the System. US Digital Designs will provide training <br />and supervision to Orange County, NC or contractor’s personnel in the <br />installation and configuration of the station equipment. This training will include <br />installation classroom training, sample installations by USDD personnel, <br />supervision for personnel during initial installations, and telephone follow-up as <br />necessary. <br /> <br /> <br />USDD Project Roles and Responsibility <br /> <br />Overview <br />USDD will assign qualified personnel to implement the System for the Project. The project team <br />will be located primarily at the USDD headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, but will travel as <br />necessary to the Orange County, NC’s location. <br /> <br />The following is a proposed list of USDD project personnel roles for this project. The list of roles <br />may change as necessary to accommodate new project requirements. <br /> <br />USDD Project Manager <br />The USDD project manager (“Project Manager”) will have the overall responsibility for ensuring <br />the success of the USDD portion of this project. The Project Manager will be the primary contact <br />for project-related issues and will be responsible for issue resolution. The Project Manager will <br />also develop an issue escalation plan in conjunction with the Municipality’s System <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />Software Engineer <br />The USDD Software Engineer will be responsible for USDD’s configuration of software required <br />for the system, and for the resolution of any USDD software issues identified during the course <br />of the project. <br /> <br />Orange County, NC Roles and Responsibilities <br /> <br />Orange County, NC’s staff must be familiar with Orange County, NC existing systems and <br />needs with respect to fire station alerting. In particular, Orange County, NC must have subject <br />matter experts available for consultation on the existing communications systems, both in the <br />station and the communications center, and the current and proposed data networks. <br /> <br />USDD will need to rely on Orange County, NC personnel for direction on equipment location in <br />the data center.
