SECONDED: Nathalie Volkheimer <br /> iii. DECISION: Carried <br />VI. County Update – Shameka Fairbanks <br />a. Thanked everyone for the support with the Pauli Murray Awards and the Pauli Murray Mural <br />b. Note that the proclamation process for Black History month should start ASAP, because those events <br />are in Feb and March <br />c. Asked for help with events for Black History Month and Women’s History Month. Details will follow <br />on how to support in emails to the group. <br />d. Melvyn Blackwell will be off for the rest of the month, and there may be delayed response times to <br />requests due to the holidays. <br />e. Ridgewood HRC Fair Housing Complaints – Melvyn Blackwell <br /> i. A group of residents came to the last meeting, no action has yet been taken. <br />Their identities were taken off the minutes to protect their privacy. <br /> ii. There are five complaints who have been moved fromt Intake to investigation <br />and are ready to be filed. Currently seeking permission to file on their behalf. The <br />HRC can be the complainant in the filing. <br /> iii. When the complaints are filed, the HRC will be informed and asked for support <br />where required. <br />VII. Annual Report and Work Plan – Lynn McGee <br />a. The due date for the work plan is before the next meeting, requiring an approach to submit before <br />the next meeting. <br />b. A possibility (happened last year) is to vote that the Executive draft and submit the plan on the <br />group’s behalf <br /> i. MOVED: Michael Fath <br /> ii. Discussion about the categories and events relating to the awards, and the award <br />content
