White Cross Fire District <br /> Fund Balance Request <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2023-24. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation <br /> 1. The County is updating its internal process of recognizing grant awards for the <br /> Conservation Easement and the Lands Legacy projects within the Department of <br /> Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation. In the past, the County anticipated 50% <br /> grant reimbursement in advance of specific projects being approved and awarded. To <br /> improve internal tracking, Grant Revenue Match Funding will be removed from the project <br /> and subsequently recorded when the match funding has been awarded. The department <br /> will continue to aggressively pursue grant funding to match County funding.
