20 <br /> Describe this board/commission's activities/accomplishments in carrying out <br /> BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br /> Priority 6: Develop plan and tools to improve how County and citizens communicate <br /> with each other; foster two-way exchange. <br /> • Regularly update Transportation Planning and OUTBoard website <br /> • Publish online all public meeting notices issued by local, regional, and state <br /> agencies related to transportation plan and projects in the County <br /> Priority 20: Support transit, pedestrian, and bicycle facilities and other alternatives to <br /> the single passenger automobile. <br /> • Ensure transit, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities are addressed in each <br /> transportation plan, project, and program. <br /> • Quarterly discuss County transit activities with OCPT and TAS. <br /> • Participate in addressing bicycle. Sidewalk, and pedestrian safety for Safe <br /> Routes for schools and residents in Orange County <br /> • Actively participate in states SPOT/STIP process as well as MPO/RPO <br /> activities ensuring multimodal issues are addressed. <br /> Identify any activities this board/commission expects to carry out in 2023 as they <br /> relate to established BOCC goals and priorities. If applicable,is there a fiscal <br /> impact(i.e., funding, staff time, and other resources) associated with these proposed <br /> activities (please list). <br /> Following task are part of OUTBoard' current work plan <br /> 1. Continue expanding Moblity-on-Demand <br /> 2. Continue advancing the Regional Transit Center in Hillsborough <br /> 2. Implementation of the complete street and vision policy through grants, transit tax <br /> and CIP. <br /> 3. Participated in aspects of the OCPT 5311 Rural area and 5339 combined capital <br /> grants- analysis, and recommendations to support transit services and funding to <br /> non-urbanized areas. <br /> 4. Support the departments Transit Plan and Short-Range Transit Plan updates <br /> 6. Updated the Safe Routes to school project to include safety for all schools in <br /> Orange County. <br /> 7. Implement NC 54 Multimodal Corridor Improvements through complete street <br /> and vision zero <br /> 8. Complete US 70 Multimodal Corridor Study by providing recommendations on <br /> improvements for roads, bikes, and pedestrians and requesting County approve the <br /> study <br /> 9. Advance the County's Transit Dashboard with transportation performance <br /> measures and other improvements. <br /> 3 <br />
