Year-To-Date Budget <br />Summary <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Donna Dean, (919)245-2151 <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2005-06, <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Library Services <br />1. The Orange County Library has received a literacy grant totaling $875 from the Wal-Mart <br />Foundation, These grant funds will be used to offer additional children's services programs <br />to its patrons. There is na County match required for the receipt of these funds, This <br />budget amendment provides for the receipt of these grant funds. (See Attachment 1, <br />column #1) <br />Department on Aging <br />2. The Eldercare division within the Department on Aging has received notification of additional <br />National Family Caregiver Support grant funds totaling $26,172 for this fiscal year. These <br />funds will be used to purchase additional services from local agencies for at-risk individuals <br />and provide training and support for their caregivers. There is no County match far the <br />receipt of these funds.. These additional funds bring the total budget for this program to <br />$56,292 for FY 200,5-06, This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds,. <br />(See Attachment 1, column #2) <br />
