Stakeholder Participation.Any local government boom or committee, as well as any <br /> interest group or citizen of Orange County, may offer their input as a stakehoder in the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. Such stakeholder groups may include, but are not limited to <br /> Town of Chapel Hill DurhamlChapel Hill/Canboro Metropolitan <br /> Town of Carrboro Planning Organization <br /> Town of Hillsborough North Carolina Department of Transportation <br /> City of Mebane Orange Public Transit <br /> Caobom Planning Board Triangle Transit Authority <br /> Chapel Hill Planning Board Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation <br /> Hillsborough Planning Board Duke Power <br /> Mebane Planning Board Chapel Hill/Carrbcm Chamber of Commerce <br /> Chapel Hill/Carmoro School System HilisborougNOrange County Chamber Of <br /> Orange County School System Commerce <br /> OWASA Home Builders Association <br /> Orange/Aiamance Water System Triangle Land Conservancy <br /> Triangle J Council of Governments <br /> Such boards, committees, groups or Individual citizens should be encouraged to <br /> participate, in part, by members of the CPLUC as part of their networking and <br /> recruitment duties. This act ive recruitment is designed to ensure that the perspectives <br /> of all interest groups in the county are considered in developing the plan. <br /> Input from such Stakeholders may be provided by attending the public meetings, by <br /> submitting comments to staff by phone 245.2575 or email Ttempia@m.orange.hops or <br /> through the Planning Web Site at co.orange.nc.us/planninglcomp.htm. <br /> COMPREHENSIVE PLAN LAND USE COMMITTEE SUPPORT TEAM <br /> The working relationships of the participant;in the planning process forthe CPLUC ere listed <br /> below and shown in Table 1: Orange County Comprehensive Plan Land Use Committee <br /> Organization and Management. <br /> L Staff from County Departments. The Orange County Planning and Inspections <br /> Department, Comprehensive Planning Division, shall take the lead in coominating the <br /> support team for the aotivitles ofthe CPLUC. The Comprehensive Planning Supervisor will <br /> receive assistance from the Departments of Economic Development, Environment and <br /> Resource Conservation (ESRCD), Environmental Health, County Engineer, and other staff <br /> as appropriate. The support team shall be responsible for the technical and administrative <br /> aspects of the CPLUC's work. Technical ai may involve conducting fieldwork, data <br /> gathering and information sharing. Administrative work may involve Securing meeting <br /> places, maintaining mailing lists, and distributing cost reports, notices, and agendas. <br /> 2. Other Agencies. In addition to the Orange County staff,technical support may be <br /> obtained from municipal, regional, and state agencies. Municipal staff may be called upon, <br /> for example, to evaluate haw certain policies or actions can be handled within the <br /> budgetary, administrative,or technical framework of their particular local government, <br /> Specialized staff may work directly as part of the staff support team as necessary. <br />
