Please describe any other <br />relevant expertise or capacity to <br />carry out the project in your <br />application: <br />We have expounded at great length on USS board members’ and <br />volunteer’s passion and incredibly relevant expertise and capacity <br />to carry out the project described herein in our answers to the <br />questions above and would be delighted to discuss this and other <br />aspects of this grant application at greater length with grant <br />reviewers upon request by email, phone, or in person. <br /> <br /> <br />Criterion 5 - Local Economic Development <br /> <br />32. How many Orange County <br />residents are employed by your <br />organization? <br />None, as we are currently 100% volunteer run. However, we will be <br />seeking future employees from Orange County. We will, of course, <br />be using OCCCA funds to pay teachers and students trained within <br />the program described herein. <br />33. What percent of project <br />materials will be purchased <br />from sources within Orange <br />County or North Carolina? <br />We have partnered with Jeanette O’Connor <br />(https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeanette -o-connor-8b617251/), director <br />of Lands and Waters South and she has agreed to be one of our <br />landscape contractors and to incorporate and oversee bmp <br />plantings by USS teachers and children. Frank Brown, owner at <br />CFB Contracting LLC in Selma, North Carolina <br />(https://www.linkedin.com/in/frank-brown-b3801210/), is our site- <br />preparation contractor, who has worked for over 10 years with the <br />BETC program in Durham County. Our cistern installer is <br />Demetrius Thompson, owner of Triangle Outdoor Living and <br />Landscaping in Durham, NC <br />(https://www.linkedin.com/in/demetrius -thompson-87a3a766/). It is <br />safe to say that 100% of our project materials will be purchased <br />from sources within North Carolina, with at least 75% (landscaping <br />materials) purchased from within Orange County. <br />34.
