4884-1724-9679, v. 1 <br />MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN <br />ORANGE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br />AND <br />ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS <br /> 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR <br /> <br />This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Orange County Health Department (OCHD) and the Orange <br />County Schools (OCS) has been written to provide understanding, give direction and establish specific <br />responsibilities. It is reviewed by both parties, amended as necessary and renewed on an annual basis. The final <br />version is submitted to the School Health Branch of the Division of Public Heal th within the NC Department of <br />Health and Human Services. <br /> <br />The OCHD and the OCS system work cooperatively to assure the delivery of high -quality nursing services for <br />students of the OCS (Policy Number 6120, Student Health Services Policy). The OCHD Medical Director and/or <br />designee will provide medical consultation and direction for policies and procedures used by the OCS-employed <br />nurses. <br /> <br />Medication standing orders/vaccination guidelines will be consistent with OCHD policies and procedures.
