Visit all the senior living facilities listed in the Orange County Senior Housing <br /> Guide, per the state guidelines, once during each quarter. At the conclusion of <br /> each visit a status report per facility must be developed. <br /> 2. Attend required training by the state as well as log continuing education hours. <br /> 3. Make a report to the Orange County Commissioners on progress. <br /> Describe this board/commission's activities/accomplishments in carrying out <br /> BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br /> • Through the Advisory Board on Aging, the Committee is knowledgeable <br /> regarding current senior services in Orange County and able to make referrals. <br /> • Members of the Committee participate in the development and execution of the <br /> Dept of Aging MAP initiative. <br /> Describe the collaboration relationship(s) this board has with other advisory <br /> boards and commissions? <br /> The Adult Care and Nursing Home Community Advisory Committees works closely with <br /> the Advisory Board on Aging. Communication between the two boards fosters <br /> recruitment, service updates, legislation, and the work of the Dept of Aging MAP <br /> committees. Ex: We work with the Orange County Public Library to inform residents of <br /> the facilities about their DELIVEReads program. <br /> Identify any activities this board/commission expects to carry out in 2024 as they <br /> relate to established BOCC goals and priorities. If applicable, is there a fiscal <br /> impact (i.e., funding, staff time, other resources) associated with these proposed <br /> activities (please list). <br /> Information regarding senior life and services in Orange County has been enabled by <br /> the Dept of Aging. This information allows the Committee to increase utilization of local <br /> resources. We complete the communication loop with the administrative staff of these <br /> facilities as they are informed of these local resources.
