One Orange Racial Equity Update <br /> The One Orange Racial Equity Jurisdictional Team (Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, <br /> and Orange County) continues to collaborate to advance racial equity throughout Orange <br /> County. In addition to highlighting some of the work that has previously been done, the <br /> team will present updates on the racial equity framework, data dashboard and racialized <br /> history project. <br /> One Orange was formed in 2020 to coordinate efforts around racial equity. The One <br /> Orange team engaged internal and external stakeholders and developed the One Orange <br /> Countywide Racial Equity Framework, which was approved in 2022. The purpose of this <br /> framework is to outline the county's overall strategy for change and to provide an <br /> overarching framework from which the jurisdictions can develop their respective racial <br /> equity plans. The framework details the five pillars that guide the county's racial equity <br /> efforts.
