She said that she wished there was more time for writing down ideas. She said <br /> 5 she hoped that future meetings would have more diversity in the participants. <br /> 6 Leigh Anne King said one of the things they have talked about as a team is how to use <br /> 7 the diversity and inclusion database to try to target communities that were not represented at the <br /> 8 first workshop. <br /> 9 Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked when the team anticipates a shift in their outreach <br /> 10 engagement if they are not hearing from certain portions of the community. <br /> 11 Leigh Anne King said that with every session, they will try to improve. <br /> 12 Antwain Goode said that they will have to be more intentional with their outreach and the <br /> 13 relationships they build in the community. He said that they do have a backup plan and will be <br /> 14 calling and doing one-on-ones. He said they have to show kindness and they are working really <br /> 15 hard to showcase that with their tone. <br /> 16 Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked how they will determine success with the project. <br /> 17 Leigh Anne King said they are evaluating success based on satisfaction from participants, <br /> 18 representation and making sure that who they are hearing from is representative of the entire <br /> 19 population within the county, and then the actual number of participants. She said they always <br /> 20 want to have more people involved than the last community engagement opportunity. She said <br /> 21 they want to go to people and make it easier for them. She said that they try to engage with <br /> 22 community organizations to increase the number of participants. She said that it was encouraging <br /> 23 that many people heard about the sessions via word of mouth. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 <br />
