9 <br /> 1 After discussion, the Board changed Healthy Community to: <br /> 2 "Increase equitable access to care and social safety net programming to promote the <br /> 3 physical, social, and mental well-being of our community." <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Slide #16 <br /> Objectives <br /> 1. Improve harm reduction,prevention, and supportservices for behavioral health. <br /> 2. Expand access to quality,affordable healthcare services. (e.g.,Medicaid expansion,crisis response, art <br /> spaces,healthy living campaign,green and recreational spaces). <br /> a Provide social safety net programming and the resources needed for our most vulnerable community <br /> members to become self-reliant. <br /> 4 Reduce impacts and barriers forjustice-involved children and adults through deflection,diversion,therapeutic <br /> interventions,and re-entry support. <br /> e Invest, support,train,and retain our community safety, health,and emergency seNces employees. <br /> G Provide sustainable,equitable,high-quality community safety and emergency services to meet the <br /> community's evolving needs. <br /> Invest in services and programs that improve the health and quality of life of the community(e.g., recreation <br /> and publicopen spaces, arts, etc.) <br /> b <br /> 6 <br /> 7 After discussion, the Board changed Objective 1 to: <br /> 8 "Improve harm reduction, prevention, and support services including housing for adults <br /> 9 and children experiencing behavioral health issues and intellectual or developmental disabilities." <br /> 10 (Charline will work on the final wording.) <br /> 11 The Board changed Objective 2 to: <br /> 12 "Expand access to quality, affordable healthcare services (e.g. Medicaid expansion, crisis <br /> 13 response, healthy living campaign). <br /> 14 The Board changed Objective 3 to: <br /> 15 "Provide social safety net programming and the resources needed for our most vulnerable <br /> 16 community members (e.g. veterans, unhoused people, foster children, older adults, etc." <br /> 17 The Board changed Objective 4 to: <br /> 18 "Reduce impacts and barriers for justice-involved children and adults through deflection, <br /> 19 diversion, therapeutic interventions, and re-entry support including housing." <br /> 20 The Board changed Objective 5 to: <br /> 21 "Invest in, support, train, and retain our community safety, health, and emergency services <br /> 22 employees and direct care workforce." <br /> 23 <br /> 24 The Board took a break starting at 3:08 p.m. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 The Board ended the break at 3:15 p.m. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br />
