The County has authorized a settlement of $15,800 with a resident due to an error related <br /> to the installation of Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) sanitary sewer at 7731 <br /> Rogers Road. This action will appropriate fund balance to cover the cost of this settlement. <br /> 4. This budget amendment provides for the transfer of $30,000 from the County Capital <br /> Reserve Fund to the Community Loan Fund to support County-wide no interest loans for <br /> sewer connection. The loans range from $3,500 to $10,000 with a 10-year repayment. <br /> Per the Community Loan Fund terms, the loan is secured by a deed of trust and the <br /> borrowed loans will be itemized on the recipient's annual County tax bill for the annual <br /> payment. The Orange County Transportation Services Department has received notification of <br /> additional revenue of $37,430 from North Carolina Department of Transportation for the <br /> FY2024 Rural Operating Assistance Program (ROAP). At the end of FY 2022-23, the County had $7,879 in unspent State funded Juvenile Crime <br /> Prevention Council (JCPC) administration funds. These funds transferred to Fund Balance <br /> at the end of the fiscal year.
