The pharmacist that the <br /> department contracted with this year will be leaving the area, and this has necessitated <br /> searching for anew individual far pharmacy contract services. The new contract would be with <br /> Registered Pharmacist Robert E. Dupuis, a resident of Chapel Hill. The amount of the contract <br /> for FY 2002-2003 remains the same as last year, $10,032 per year or approximately$30 per <br /> hour for on-site pharmacy services. Phaomacy services for the health department's clinics is <br /> $6,510or217houm. Approximately$3,500 of the total contract is attributable to pharmacy <br /> coverage for jail health services(117 hours of pharmacy service)and will be recovered through <br /> an internal charge back with the Sheriffs department. These services assure that the health <br /> detwMant and thejail is in full compliance with state laws governing pharmacy management <br /> and oversight. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: The total cast of the contract is $10,032 far the fiscal year for <br /> approximately 334 hours of on-site pharmacy services. The$6,510 has been included in the <br /> FY 2002-2003 recommended health department budget with the remainder being charged back <br /> to the Sheriffs department and included in that departmental budget. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the contract and <br /> authorize the Chair to sign, pending the approval of the FY 2002-2003 budget and County <br /> Attorney review. <br />
