Through the mechanisms noted below, these <br /> contacts keep people informed about the department, fosters input on transportation projects <br /> and issues, and is a source of referrals to additional individuals and groups. Attempts will be <br /> made to identify stakeholders that reflect the diversity of the Orange County population. <br /> e-ublic NOULe <br /> This technical term is also referred to as press release or community notice, serves as an <br /> effective means of communication and information exchange with the community and is <br /> essential for maintaining community understanding as well as successful implementation of <br /> transportation programs and projects. This tool will be issued for all major transportation plans <br /> and some may include legal advertisements in the local paper. All community notices will be <br /> posted on the department website Link and are issued in accordance with County Public Notice <br /> policy. Community notification will be conducted in accordance with Title VI and related county <br /> processes. It is important for the department to practice different methods of communication and <br /> outreach to ensure notices reach the wider community. Possible supplementary methods for <br /> providing notice include: <br /> Flyers: Are the simplest means of getting the word out and are often posted at various locations <br /> across the county and shared with member jurisdictions. They are an effective means of starting <br /> a dialogue with a community.
