2 <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation <br /> 3. The Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation (DEAPR) holds funds <br /> of the Soil and Water Conservation District Board. At the end of FY 2022-23, there were <br /> $9,577 in unspent funds remaining. This amount fell into the General Fund's fund balance <br /> for FY 2022-23. This amendment appropriates these funds from fund balance in the <br /> General Fund for use in special projects, program, operational expenses, and other needs <br /> that are approved by the Soil and Water Conservation Board of Supervisors. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ESTABLISH SUSTAINABLE AND EQUITABLE LAND-USE AND <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of people of all races, cultures, <br /> incomes and educational levels with respect to the development and enforcement <br /> of environmental laws, regulations, policies, and decisions. Fair treatment means <br /> that no group of people should bear a disproportionate share of the negative <br /> environmental consequences resulting from industrial, governmental and <br /> commercial operations or policies. <br /> Department of Animal Services <br /> 4. The Department of Animal Services has received a donation in the amount of$72,437 from <br /> the Estate of Elizabeth D Lee for the purchase of supplies and equipment at the discretion <br /> of the department. These funds will be budgeted in the Multi-Year fund outside of the <br /> General Fund.
