The nearby I-85 interchange may lead to drivers exiting I-85 to maintain interstate <br /> speeds and influence drivers passing through the interchange to associate the area with interstate conditions.This could <br /> partially explain the severity of the run-off road crashes near University Station Boulevard.The transition from urban <br /> conditions in Hillsborough to rural and back to urban near Durham as well as the I-85 interchange may lead to confusing <br /> or conflicting conditions for driving traversing the area.Prominent crash locations in Segment E from Palmers Grove <br /> Road to Durham County are shown in Figure 27. <br /> 80 US 70 Multimodal Corridor Study Existing Conditions Report <br />
