After working in the UK for several years I returned to Orange County(Hillsborough)
six years ago. I work primarily on residential
projects but have consulted on several public realm projects. I am currently the chair of the
Hillsborough Tree Board in my fourth year of service. As a designer, resident and parent living in
Orange County I m interested in contributing to the development of our public spaces with a
specific focus on sustainability and examining the way humans interact with our natural
landscapes.
Reasons for wanting to serve on this board:
I am interested in learning more about the county processes and procedures and contributing to
the development of our public spaces on this scale. I feel passionately that our public spaces
should support both human activity and our ecology. I believe that Parks and Recreation boards
can serve a critical role in connecting us to our environment in a powerful and lasting way.
