11tPLEIT \ \
AND REPORTING
REPORTING TOOL
An online dashboard has been designed for Orange County, establishing
a publicly accessible platform that transparently reports the progress of
the County's commitment to climate action, sustainability practices, and
GHG reduction efforts. The opening page of the dashboard, titled 'Focus
Area' explains the five categories underpinning the action steps in the CAP:
Transportation, Built Environment and Energy, Green Community, Resilient
Community, and Resource Conservation. The second page, 'Action Steps,'
showcases all actionable steps that Orange County has both planned and
committed to implementing, with an 'Action Step Tracker' graphic showing
the progress of these strategies. The third page, 'Resources, offers users links
and descriptions of the programs, resources and plans upheld by the County,
highlighting areas interconnected with the CAP. The fourth page, 'Emissions',
illustrates the emission's trajectory with GHG reduction objectives. This page
links the Top b strategies outlined for the County to its GHG emission sectors
and translates reduction efforts into the equivalent number of cars removed
from the road in a given year. The final page, 'Energy,'offers a map visualization,
pinpointing the locations of solar panel installations, LEED and energy star-
related buildings, and EV chargers, while also tallying the total number of EV
registrations within the County.
ORANGE COUNTY Climate Action Plan in Action
NOKYH CAROLINA
Total Solar Energy Produced
1108 Utility-Scale
Flat River
Mangum
Tally I
installations
Butn — —Residential
Elon Burlington M Lebanon Renewable&Efficiency Commercial
Graham-p....
