APPENDIX C STAKEHOLDER REPORT
In addition to the Symposium, a draft of the CAP was posted on the County's website,
along with an online public comment portal. The County received 31 responses to the
question "Please share your thoughts on the CAP" and each respondent was asked
to rank the CAP as "Good: The CAP provides a clear path for a green future in Orange
County.'; "Neutral: The CAP covers major points, but they could be improved." or "Bad:
The CAP does not serve Orange County's needs." Comments from this process have
been integrated into the final draft of the CAP.
Orange County's intern, Chloe Sherer, participated in UNC-CH's Sustainability Social
event held in September where she led education/outreach efforts promoting the draft
CAP.Chloe talked to 30 people;many people scanned QR code linking to CAP and survey;
lots of professionals there; 2 who are running for town council - Melissa McCullough
and Theodore Nollert. She said feedback focused on urban planning, equity and the
environment. She talked to someone who works with Action for the Climate Emergency
(ACES) and some folks from the business school. One person she spoke to was very
interested in advancing nuclear energy. Another one was from solar equity on UNC-CH
campus. She also spoke to Sustainability staff at the Town of Chapel Hill and other Eco
Studio Interns/students.
17 ORANGE COUNTY, NC • APPENDICES
