APPENDIX C • . It was felt that once the County Commissioners
adopted the CAP, this campaign could really get people's attention on climate issues.
• Discussed limitation for EV adoption. We need to better motivate residents by promoting
rebates and increasing charging station connectivity. At the same time, we don't want
to lose focus on the importance of hiking and walking. Melisas mentioned that she can
walk or bike to most of her activities.
- Greenbridge apartment complex needs chargers - what are the opportunities at
multi unit dwellings? What role could the County play?
- Consider infrastructure and spaces for developers to install EV chargers.
•We discussed partners who were missing from our CAP list. Two came to mind: Carolina
Advocates and the Sierra Club
• Consider a 2024 climate resolution from the County Commissioners, similar to what
they did for emergency services?
• John discussed how to integrate climate into health care by forming a health advocacy
group
• John mentioned that there was no public transportation in the north.
16 ORANGE COUNTY, NC • APPENDICES
