Approved 10.18.2023
1
2 Nathan Robinson: Well, I don't necessarily want to open the public hearing, sorry. But it's more of a procedural thing. 1
3 think, you know, we have the items in green, it looks like, that we must approve in terms of motions, and I think Pat was
4 saying that, you know, we could roll this motion into one motion potentially instead of three. And then I think there were
5 the, you know, do we need to go through each one of these items, you know, forms and fees and all that kind of stuff
6 and just say, you know, staff has approved it because they've received these items, and we must approve the fact that
7 we've seen them.
8
9 Patrick Mallett: It's entirely up to you.
10
11 Nathan Robinson: Okay.
12
13 Patrick Mallett: Previous decisions with previous boards have gone methodically through each line item. We've had
14 board decisions that have taken the components in green as a complete, yes, we agree, and then go to the items of
15 pink, the specific standards. Yes, we agree or disagree. And then the final specific standards, those three with does or
16 does not. But my understanding is that you, from a legal standpoint, you could just make that decision en masse with
17 all the findings. It's entirely up to you. I think the important thing is to register in that you are making your findings and
18 making a vote on that.
19
20 Leon Meyers: Right.
21
22 Patrick Mallett:And making your determination. We just, we're simply not making a recommendation. You make your
23 own findings, your own determination as you see fit.
24
25 Leon Meyers: Anything before we close the hearing again? Any other questions for staff or any other reason to keep
26 the hearing open?
27
28 Beth Bronson: I guess I just have a question about the onsite residents. — I'm struggling because a lot of this is
29 conceptual and it's not, in a word, as opposed to a master plan development conditional zoning request, this being the
30 special use permit.
31
32 Leon Meyers: Right.
33
34 Beth Bronson: And retaining the agricultural residential as a business. I guess, what am I trying to say. Will it be a
35 residence, or will it be a, you know, like will that live-in, or you said it was a direct support supervisor, or maybe not
36 direct support supervisor, but who will live in the property, I guess, as like a steward —
37
38 Leon Meyers: Believe that's actually in.
39
40 Beth Bronson: Or manager.
41
42 Leon Meyers: The conditions, right? If, and the conditions are part of the proposal so
43
44 Beth Bronson: Could be.
45
46 Leon Meyers: Mr. Moffitt, if you'd like to address that directly?
47
48 Ryan Moffitt: It is in the conditions. It's at the option of the applicant whether they want to have a permanent person. It
49 allows a permanent live-in. It doesn't require one.
50
34
