CEF’s training for volunteer Advocates also utilizes an
evidence-based, trauma-informed approach to working with individuals experiencing
homelessness.

4. Please describe one to three key partnerships/collaborations that add the most value to
the success of the proposed programs.
Collaborations are an important part of CEF’s work as a service provider. In Chapel
Hill, our most valuable collaboration is the Orange Community Hub (OCH). CEF
developed a strong network of 40+ partners through OCH, a one-stop center for
Members to access resources from many different agencies. Major partners include
Legal Aid NC, Freedom House Recovery Center, the VA, local government agencies
including street outreach, and many others. OCH is a collaborative effort to support
Members while also sharing resources between agencies. A new partnership with
Community Home Trust will support Chapel Hill residents with purchasing a first home.

5.
