AGENCY INFORMATION <br />Please provide the following information about your agency: <br />1.Date of Incorporation (Month/Year):09/2019 <br />2.Agency’s Purpose/Mission (no more than a few sentences): <br />Our mission is to create dignified, affordable, tiny homes in a caring community for, and with, <br />people transitioning out of homelessness. In addition to building and maintaining homes that <br />are affordable to community members below 30% area median income (AMI) who have <br />experienced homelessness, we also seek to connect residents to community resources that <br />support their long-term success with housing. <br />3.Please provide a brief description of your organization’s past achievements in carrying out similar <br />projects and evidence of a successful record of meeting proposed budgets and timetables (no more <br />than 100 words). <br />Since moving into their homes, our current residents have cumulatively moved from 58 <br />years of homelessness to 18.5 years of stable housing. With 10% of every on-time rent <br />payment going toward building individual savings for each resident, they have saved over <br />$3,100 cumulatively. We have received over $320,000 in awards from government sources <br />since our inception and have been punctual with timetables. We have remained within <br />proposed budgets, particularly with building and construction. We have forged <br />strong partnerships with the Marian Cheek Jackson Center and Northside Neighborhood <br />Initiative to bring more affordable housing options to the historically Black Northside <br />neighborhood, with 70% of our current units and in progress units located there and in the <br />adjacent Lloyd-Broad neighborhood. We have a commitment to increasing BIPOC <br />representation in our governing bodies and plan to include racial equity as a key component <br />of our strategic planning efforts this upcoming year.
