W e would use the grant funding to <br />pay for the artist’s work in developing the piece and time in teaching the <br />choreography to Footnotes. <br />The community performance would be held in Q2 of 2024 and feature the <br />Footnotes company performing historical and contemporary tap pieces, <br />including the newly commissioned work. The performance would be open to <br />the community at a modest ticket price to cover the cost of venue rental <br />and other incidentals not covered by grant funding. The ArtsCenter in <br />Carrboro, NC, has expressed interest in hosting this performance. W e are <br />requesting funding to pay musicians for the live accompaniment and to pay <br />the guest artist for his or her performance in the program. <br />Other costs associated with the program, such as travel-related expenses, <br />rehearsal space rental, performance space rental, <br />photography/videography, marketing, etc, would come from private support <br />(in-kind, personal, and corporate donations), performance ticket revenue, <br />and company fundraising efforts. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: EF1143BC-A16C-4CBC-9A67-8394E5952E55
