W e would use the grant funding to
pay for the artist’s work in developing the piece and time in teaching the
choreography to Footnotes.
The community performance would be held in Q2 of 2024 and feature the
Footnotes company performing historical and contemporary tap pieces,
including the newly commissioned work. The performance would be open to
the community at a modest ticket price to cover the cost of venue rental
and other incidentals not covered by grant funding. The ArtsCenter in
Carrboro, NC, has expressed interest in hosting this performance. W e are
requesting funding to pay musicians for the live accompaniment and to pay
the guest artist for his or her performance in the program.
Other costs associated with the program, such as travel-related expenses,
rehearsal space rental, performance space rental,
photography/videography, marketing, etc, would come from private support
(in-kind, personal, and corporate donations), performance ticket revenue,
and company fundraising efforts.
DocuSign Envelope ID: EF1143BC-A16C-4CBC-9A67-8394E5952E55
