The
deficit in 2022 had two drivers. First, we gave a donation to the North
Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble (NCYTE, which is a 501(c)(3) organization)
for $1000 to provide financial assistance for the installation of a new tap
floor. Footnotes Tap Ensemble utilizes the same studio space for
rehearsals as NCYTE at the Ballet School of Chapel Hill, which graciously
allows us to use this space free of charge. The second driver was due to
an investment that we made in company costuming. Footnotes had not
purchased new costumes for more than five years and there was a need to
refresh our costuming. W e will continue to use these costumes, with a few
smaller replacements and additions for new members, for the next 3-5
years.
DocuSign Envelope ID: EF1143BC-A16C-4CBC-9A67-8394E5952E55
