Artist Experience The current BASEMENT team consists of seven volunteer artists who <br />represent a wide range of expertise and experience: Jonh Blanco is a <br />performance artist, dancer, and museum professional; Laura Little is a <br />sculptor and educator; Julianne Miao is an art historian and curator; Chieko <br />Murasugi is a scientist and painter; Chloe Rager is a sculptor, graphic <br />designer, and educator; Hồng- An Trương is a conceptual photographer <br />and educator; Alexa Valez is a dancer, educator, and videographer. <br />Although Radicle is BASEMENT’s first attempt at hosting an artist <br />residency, many of us have participated in them, and we are confident that <br />our team possesses the curatorial, organizational, and physical skills <br />required to provide the Radicle Residents with a productive and engaging <br />experience. <br />Since 2019, BASEMENT has mounted three group exhibitions, one joint <br />fundraising art show and auction with Peel Gallery, plus numerous digital <br />events such as digital residencies, and both private and public studio visits. <br />For the four past exhibitions, the BASEMENT team promoted the event, <br />prepared the space, and installed and de-installed the exhibitions. <br />BASEMENT organized and hosted all concurrent live events, and managed <br />our online presence. Our audience, both online and at live events, has <br />been steadily growing since our inception, and we anticipate that this <br />growth will continue. <br />How do you plan to <br />market your project? <br />W e will post updates to our Radicle Residency activities on BASEMENT's <br />Instagram account. News of the residents and their upcoming events will be <br />distributed to our email list and on our website. The BASEMENT members <br />will also publicize the events on their own social media sites and by word of <br />mouth.
