Health Department Fee <br /> Schedule Revisions <br /> PURPOSE : To approve budget , grant , and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2023 -24 . <br /> Housing Department <br /> 1 . The Housing Department has deferred Emergency Housing Voucher Funds unspent in FY <br /> 2022 -23 . These funds will be used to provide additional emergency vouchers in the wake <br /> of the COVID - 19 Pandemic . This amendment reauthorizes $ 17 , 454 in the Housing Choice <br /> Voucher Fund , outside of the General Fund . <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT : The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this item : <br /> • GOAL : FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color ; religious or philosophical beliefs ; sex , gender or sexual orientation ; national <br /> origin or ethnic background ; age ; military service ; disability ; and familial , residential <br /> or economic status . <br /> • GOAL : ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF -SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure , policies , programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter , food , clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents . <br /> Health Department <br /> 2 . The Health Department requests to amend the County Fee Schedule to include the new <br /> fees detailed in Attachment 2 . These changes to the fee schedule do not affect revenues <br /> budgeted for FY 2023 -24 . The proposed modifications are to more accurately reflect <br /> administration cost , update the Medicaid reimbursement rate , remove services no longer <br />
